Relative Positions of Two Circles
Use the yellow slider to explore the relative positions of two circles.
The pink segment represents the radius of the first circle C (O ; r).
The blue segment represents the radius of the second circle C' (O' ; r').
The yellow segment represents the distance between the two centers of the circles, and it is denoted by d.
On a piece of paper, copy the table below and fill it in with different values of r, r', and d (List as many entries as you want). Then, note the position of the circles by comparing the sum and the difference of r and r' to d.
